The team over at YLW Agency created this simple AI ChatGPT chatbot for all to use. We were looking for a way to quickly add ChatGPT to websites. With the help of ChatGPT itself we created and combined the files using HTML, JavaScript and CSS. The thought was that we be easy to manipulate and use for your own projects. When completed, we wanted to make it readily available. So here you go!
To start, you’ll need to get an API key from ChatGPT. To get these is free, but they do charge based on usage. Once you sign up and get your key you will be ready for the next step.
Download the zip file from the bottom of the page, unpack and you’ll have all your files ready. You’ll need a text editor or can use the one supplied with your computer. We recommend Atom but there are many out there.
To get this to fully function you only need to add your API key. Open the index.html file. On line 119 replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key from ChatGPT. It should look something like 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. Then save the file.
Our simple solution should now be working and now running on your API. Click on the index.html file and open in a browser on your local machine. Feel free to edit the files to integrate with your website, app or on your personal computer. View Demo
